Pacific languages research project

The University of Auckland is seeking information on ways to maintain Pasifika / Pacific community languages in Aotearoa / New Zealand, as part of a research project called Language Maintenance and Revival Strategies in Pacific Communities.

You are invited to assist this research by completing a questionnaire.

Pacific Languages Framework

We have been developing the Pacific Languages Framework (PLF), and are working towards submitting a final Framework to Cabinet this year.

Consultation on the PLF occured in August 2011, at fonos throughout the country. A summary report on the 2011 August to October consultation fono will be available in 2012.
