Please note, the intake for the next LDC course closed on 2 September 2011 so we are no longer receiving nominations. Thanks for your interest.
The selection criteria for the programme have two dimensions:
The nominee must be a Pacific person with a demonstrated potential for leadership in the public sector at a senior level and, in particular, the demonstrated potential to think and work in the strategic space that is required of such positions. They will have either proven management or technical/academic experience. They must be in a position to commit to full participation in the programme. One hundred percent attendance at residential sessions is expected.
By making a nomination, that organisation commits to support the nominee so that they can fully commit to the programme and ensure that opportunities are provided within the organisation for the nominee to further develop their skill-set as they progress through the programme and beyond.
How to make a nomination
There are no nomination forms for this programme. Nominations should be in the form of a covering letter supporting the nominee that clearly indicates how they meet the criteria and how the organisation will continue to support their leadership aspirations. A curriculum vitae of the nominee should accompany the nomination. Nominations should be signed off by the Chief Executive of the organisation or their delegate.
For further information on the programme and the nomination process please contact Ruta Lealamanua at the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs by email or phone on 04 471 8239.
